Metals react with the pH of everyone's skin differently, so (unfortunately) care looks different for each person. If you've noticed that your brass jewelry changes color quickly for you, the best thing you can do is not wear it in extreme heat or get it in contact with water. This is not the kind of jewelry to wear in the shower or in the pool.
*Lemon juice is a great way to clean pure brass or pure copper jewelry. Just put a little on a cloth and rub away!
Some of our favorite jewelry in the marketplace is the Artillery Collection made from recycled bullet casings by talented artisans in Ethiopia. (They are all Lead-Free, we promise!!)
Care: The gold-colored recycled bullet casings are pure brass; the copper-colored recycled bullet casing beads are pure copper. Clean as you would these metals - specifically, *lemon juice works great, or even a little soap and warm water. The silver beads, however, are plated so some tarnishing is possible. A little lemon juice on a cloth rubbed on your jewelry works best.
Every camera is different which is why we include connection rings with every strap purchase to make attaching our straps to your camera more convenient.
While some cameras work with our heavy duty clips, most DSLRs do not, and those rings will solve your issue.
HOWEVER, if you want more solutions we want to share some products we know to work great!
Please check out the following links for more options if the rings included don't fit your needs.
Big Picture Camera Straps are handmade and are designed to be fashion accessories. The makers of our straps do not specialize in professional camera gear. Big Picture Marketplace is not a camera company and is not responsible for any faulty pieces.
Our Big Picture Camera Straps are all one-of-a-kind, meaning no two straps are the same! Every strap is 100% handmade in Guatemala making these products uniquely charming and distinct from factory-made, mass produced accessories.
We restock our inventory as often as possible, so if you missed one that you like keep an eye out for the next restocking to see if something new catches your eye and your heart!
All the wood products in our marketplace are not suitable for dishwashers or microwaves. Hand-wash in warm water and dry promptly; occasionally use food grade oil to ensure years of usage.
YES!! We offer all the products in our marketplace, as well as some other hand made items such as handbags, baskets, and more through our Mobile Global Shop called Big Happy Little Camper!
You can follow our beautiful vintage Shasta Camper on Instagram and check out our online calendar to see where we'll be next!
Big Picture Project is an official 501c3 organization.
We use visual storytelling to create global awareness for organizations and individuals working to make a positive impact on the world. By helping other organizations with costly aspects of running a business such as photos, video, web development, and marketing, we can eliminate a financial burden to ensure that as much money as possible can be reinvested in their mission.

Big Picture Marketplace is a social enterprise.
Via Wikipedia a social enterprise is an organization that applies commercial strategies to maximize improvements in human and environmental well-being, rather than maximizing profits for external shareholders.
To put in easy-to-understand terms, we're a do-good business.
We carry a curated collection of products following fair trade principles - ensuring that every co-op, and artisan partner profit from the sales of their handmade goods.
The individuals who hand make the goods sold in our marketplace benefit from the proceeds of every product. We price every product as fairly as possible to make the ability for consumers to make an impact as accessible as possible.
With every product we add to the marketplace, we create sustainable jobs and preserve cultural traditions.
In addition to job creation and sustainability, we donate 10% of profits to our current charity collaboration to help further their initiatives.
